Hello everyone! I can’t believe this is my first official blog post! I’m so excited for you all to read this and check out a few of my favorites from December all under $100!
I decided to combine my first blog post with a post about my favorites from December because I was so excited to share these that I just could not wait. Just a disclaimer though, I am a complete newbie to blogging and so it’s going to take me a few posts before I fully understand the logistics of it, but I’m so excited for the future of this blog so stay tuned. A few months ago I started thinking about blogging because I have such a passion for fashion and I wanted to be able to share that passion with others. I have been following a couple of bloggers on Instagram for a few years now and have always thought that what they do would be so much fun, not to mention a lot of work, but overall a lot of fun. I loved the fact that I would be able to connect with you guys and hopefully share some awesome products/ inspiration with you. I promise that anything I share I will give you my honest opinion and an honest review because no one wants to be told that something is so awesome and then they get it and its just crap.
Getting into a few of my favorite buys from December, I thought I’d start off with the best purchase I have ever made. Towards the end of December, I was traveling up to Minnesota for my cousin’s wedding, and I wanted a pair of boots to wear that would be cute but also keep my feet warm in the snow. For years I have been wanting a pair of Hunter Boots but they’ve always been more money than I’m willing to spend, but than an awesome blogger (@thesisterstudioig) that I follow posted a sale that 6pm.com was having where the boots were only $60 (usually $80). I kid you not, I wore these boots every single day. They worked well in the snow and I just wore a pair of fuzzy socks underneath and my feet never froze. They are amazing quality and will last me many years. I also just wanted to mention that these boots don’t just have to be worn during rainstorms or during the winter, these are the perfect accessory for any outfit. I will share some outfit ideas below if you are interested.
The next thing I wanted to share were these slippers that I have been living in (when I’m not in my hunter boots). My feet are constantly cold and so I have to say I was most excited about this purchase because I wanted to wear them every day and trust me, I have. Even when it’s 90 degrees outside you can find me at home in my slippers. I have only had them for about a month so far so I can’t really comment on the quality yet… but I’ll let you know though once I’ve had them longer.
Another favorite would have to be the Jo Malone collections. For Christmas I got my mom one of their soaps and candles and if I’m being honest right now… I might have stolen the candle once or twice. They don’t just sell candles though! they have amazing body crèmes, oils, and perfumes. I will link below the products that I have because they are all amazing! And not to mention the packaging that their products come in is so many pretty wrappings you won’t want to open it.
My final favorite is the Henri Bendel Manhatten Spice candle. I have recently joined the candle obsession and don’t understand why I didn’t start using them earlier. Now I know you can go to Target and buy a very similar candle for much cheaper but I absolutely love the smell that this one has. I also bought the Pomegranate Fizz one but I don’t know how I feel about that one yet. I’ve mostly been using the Manhattan one, but anyway I think that a simple candle can really add a little something to a room. The two that I bought is not available anymore but I linked a Lavander and Cotton scented one that I have in travel size and love! I have completely used it up and just recently had to sadly throw away.
